Rebound Stroke

A rebound stroke is a note followed by another note of the same volume. Throw the stick down onto the drum and let it rebound all the way back. Let the fingers open and close as the stick bounces. Similar to bouncing a basketball. Down Stroke and Upstroke

A down stroke is a loud note followed by a soft note. An up stroke is a soft note followed by a loud note. When combined, up strokes and down strokes form a whipping motion known as the Moeller Technique. Similar to cracking a whip. Tap A tap is a softer version of the rebound stroke. Keep the stick close to the drum. Multiple Bounce (Buzz) Stroke

A multiple bounce or buzz stoke is produced by applying pressure to the fulcrum. Allow the stick to bounce multiple times on the drum head.
